Clinical Forensic Program Registry
The Clinical Forensic Program Registry lists local forensic programs with basic contact information. Due to the nature of the work, many programs are located within hospitals, medical universities or free standing clinics. The services that these programs provide will vary, but often include medical forensic services to victims of violence and offenders.
The clinical forensic programs listing on the IAFN website is a free, voluntary listing of programs. We rely on individual programs to update their information in the listing if it changes, although we will make all attempts to update as the information becomes available to IAFN. Please do not use this list as a complete listing for all programs. If you have been victimized and are in need of assistance, please call the Rape, Abuse, Incest National Network (RAINN) at (800) 656-HOPE(4673).
Background
In 1991, there were only 20 SANE programs in the United States, however those numbers have been increasing rapidly ever since as well as in Canada and throughout the world. In an effort to obtain and maintain accurate numbers of the number of SANE programs and similar forensic programs, IAFN launched a new database on its Web site in 2003.
Currently, there are 535 clinical forensic programs in the database from the United States, Canada and Australia. However, more programs continue to submit their information for inclusion on the registry.
