Continuing Nursing Education Credit (CNE) for the Virtual Practicum

Options for Continuing Nurse Education credits

Purchase CNEs with DVD-ROM
  • Purchase DVD and CNE together through IAFN
  • Submit the CNE application: online form (1-5 people may be included on same form, submit additional forms if necessary)
  • Within 10 days of purchase, you will receive an email including a unique username/password and a link to access the Evaluation. If you have not received this CNE access email, please contact the IAFN Home Office at 410-626-7805.
  • Sign in with this unique username and password 
  • Complete a short evaluation.
  • Print your CNE certificate for 12.5 CNEs (your certificate of CNE will also be on file with the IAFN)

Purchase CNEs at a later date
  • Complete the Virtual Practicum interactive training DVD-ROM
  • The DVD-ROM will generate a message that you have completed the practicum.  A code will be issued.
  • Users must then go to the Dartmouth Practicum Webpage and generate their certificate of completion. Print completion certificate.
  • Call IAFN at 410-626-7805. You will be required to fax or email your Dartmouth completion certificate and give payment of $65 USD.  CNEs cannot be purchased separately online.
Please note, the Certificate of Completion generated by the Dartmouth Practicum Website is for personal use only. There are no credits associated with this certificate.

This 12.5 contact hour Education Activity is provided by the International Association of Forensic Nurses, an approved provider of continuing education by the Maryland Nurses' Association, which is accredited as an approver by the American Nurses Credentialing Center's Commission on Accreditation.
